Bright and early

It has been a while since I left my house before 10am. Today my husband has a site visit, so he had to leave early. I had two choices, I could get up early, get dressed get the two boys dressed and ready to go by 8:45 and drive my son to school, or leave him home for the day and sleep in. If it was winter I would have chosen to keep my son home, because when it is –30 to -40 degree, it takes us 30min at the door getting dressed for going out, snow suits, boots, hats, gloves, scarves, reput the mittens and hats on my 2.5yo, and so on. It makes going out such a hassle.

But since today is a nice spring day, we only had to throw our jackets on, and leave. I forgot about the car thought, all the windows were icy, so I had to clean those and ended up being five minutes late for school.

It was nice to be out early. Since I have not been working for the past 2.5years, it has been a while since I have been out of the house this early. I do not miss the days when I have to be in the office by 8am of course, or 7:30am if I wanted to get more EDO with a 30min commute, god I do not miss those days! Of course all this will change next year when I have my car and we are back in our house, I will have to drive my sons to school and preschool everyday. But we will be in Ontario (inshallah, please please please!) and Ontario winter is nothing compared to Saskatchewan winter. I swear I am never going to complain about winter, snow and cold when I am back home! You never know how good you have it until you move to what seems like the North Pole sometimes!

So anyways, back to the point of my post. I am feeling very refreshed, I love spring! And I love summer even more.
