To keep your head warm you wear a hat, to keep your hands warm you wears gloves, to keep your body warm you wear a sweater, to keep your feet warm you wear socks, to keep your neck warm you wear a scarf, but what do you do to keep your nose warm without looking silly????

So is it colder in Amman than it is in North America? Or is it just that their heating systems aren't as efficient [and prevalent]?

OR you can wear those winter masks thingies...they cover everything except your eyes, and you have the option of either covering your mouth with a flap that zips or leaving it open.No i am taking about NIQAB,, i saw them selling that in Square 1 few years ago :D
Personally I use really thick and long nick scarves,,wrap them too high, and stuff my nose in their, and run (not walk) to the car :D

anon..yeh no burkah for me..so not my style:) yeh it is freezing in the house here...and im just too cheap to pay the over $1000 a month for heating...and still be cold since houses are made for summers here..not winter..im gonna love my gas and electric heater

summer yeh im not warm at all here...when i go home i am going to kiss my furnace everyday...
dandoon...i do not mind the cold for few minutes while im out...bas here is cold at home too...my poor nose..it was spoiled in canada only getting cold for a short while a day..o well...at least i got to wear my summer clothes untill nov this year...:)
